On this page you will find a list of various resources that might be useful and media that I’ve come across and wanted to share.  Some are GLBTQ/trans related, some are not.  This page is a work in progress and will be updated often, so check back frequently!

Campus Pride (nonprofit organization for student leaders and campus groups who work to create a safer college environment for LGBT students)

The Center of Excellence for Transgender Health (increasing access to comprehensive, effective, and affirming healthcare services for trans and gender-variant communities)

Consortium of Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals (working to achieve higher education environments in which lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students, faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni have equity in every respect)

FTM International (serving the Female-to-Male community)

Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (ensures the voices of LGBT people are heard through the media, and promotes understanding, increases acceptance, and advances equality)

Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (works to ensure equality in health care for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and health care providers)

Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe schools for all students)

Gender Spectrum (provides education, training, and support to help create a gender sensitive and inclusive environment for all children and teens)

Genderfork (supportive community for the expression of identities across the gender spectrum)

GLBT National Help Center (free and confidential telephone and internet peer counseling, information, and local resources to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning callers throughout the United States)

Hudson’s FTM Resource Guide (comprehensive list of FTM resources)

International Foundation for Gender Equality (promotes acceptance for transgender people)

Lambda Legal (national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work)

Medical Therapy & Health Maintenance for Transgender Men (a guide for healthcare providers; useful for any transman)

National Center for Transgender Equality (dedicated to advancing the equality of transgender people through advocacy, collaboration, and empowerment)

National Transgender Advocacy Coalition (general information on the transgender community, coming out, and other resources)

The Northwest Network (for GLBTQ survivors of abuse)

PFLAG: Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (resources for families and friends of LGBTQ folks)

PFLAG’s Transgender Network (same as above, but specific to trans people)

Princeton University GLBT Center Resources (list of over 100 links, including ones to GLBTQ news, health, pop culture, self-help, and more)

Ryan Sallans’ website (FTM public speaker, featured on LOGO’s “Gender Rebel” documentary)

Sexual & Gender Minority Youth Resource Center (honors and supports the power of LGBTQ youth to change the world)
